'Til Death Do Us Art - Show Review

Going Places partners for local Art Event

Sunday, 2/9/20 GoingPlaces Artists Collective partnered with local artist alliance ArtForce1 for a local Art Show featuring numerous local artists, musicians, dancers, and much more! The show titled Til Death Do Us Art was a Valentine’s Day themed event held at Legendz Barbershop in Meriden, Connecticut. On behalf of GoingPlaces, I worked with ArtForce1 to co-curator the event in addition to participating as an artist showcasing my artwork, clothing line, and merchandise as part of The Alexander Califournia Brand.

Members of ArtForce1 Richard Colon (Rokkarts), Malcolm Stanley (PrinceMal), and Opie (Opie1Kanobe) helped GoingPlaces collectively bring the community together through a multitude of awesome activities including body painting, musical performances from singers & hip-hop artists, a live photo booth, and a bottle painting station! Artists from the Connecticut tri-state area and the local community were able to have their own booth showcasing their work. Artists invited friends & family to meet other members of the community and socialize over food and drink in addition to buying work from the other artists.
