"Hartford Paint the City" Mural

Hartford Paints the City Mural

This Past year my friend Nick Frasco and I teamed up to create one of the ten murals selected for the

Hartford Paints the City Campaign, coordinated by Jason Farquharson!

The two of us painted the mural titled "Give Peace a Chance". We painted for about 3 weeks straight for full 8 hour days. The project was completed on the south wall of Breakthrough Elementary North School (395 Lyme St, Hartford)

Ever since Nick and I began the mural, many young kids, that attended the school, would ask us questions during their recess. When they saw us up on the scaffolding working day after day it seemed they certainly curious and sounded as if they were slowly becoming more creative as well. It was a pleasure painting for that school, and to see the positivity and promise it brought to the students, faculty, and families, made it all worth it. Hopefully it will spark some positive change in a tougher part of town.
